The Ultimate Guide to the IB MYP e-assessments

Updated: 35 minutes ago

As part of the 2025 batch for the IB MYP e-assessments, the last-minute clutch is still fresh in my mind, so I figured I could pen it down for anyone who needs it as a future reference.

Firstly, the folder I consolidated for my friends and me, containing all the resources I could find from past papers and notes.

Note: I took extended math and dropped Biology, so I don't have resources for Biology or Standard Math, but if I find some, I'll add them to the folder.

Secondly, the key YouTube channels & Resources that I clutched for last-minute revision (a lot of the content I learned was also from these, so lol).

  1. Nagomi: She has videos for Biology, Math, Physics, Chemistry, L&L, I&S, and Design Eportfolio (note: since the IDU format changed from 2023 onward, her IDU videos are the outdated version, so don't rely on them). Her videos do past paper walk-throughs, so if you are too lazy to sit and study, just even passively watching them will help you internalize the format (MYP is mostly skill-based, so knowing the format, especially for sciences, I&S, and L&L, is a large part of getting good marks).

  2. Eassessment Math Topic Revision: These 2 guys, for their CAS project, made 5 videos that go through the 5 core topics in MYP math. I think for revision, watching these videos really helps in case you forgot some minor rule somewhere, etc.

  3. The ultimate list of MYP math websites: Pretty self-explanatory, my friend gave me this. I think for topic-wise revision, it is helpful.

  4. Eportfolio sample: I got a 7 in Visual Art(even though I am horrible at art), so I figured I did something right. I'm asking my friends who got 7s in other subjects to share their portfolios, and I'll add them to the folder.

  5. Onymous: Notes for all Sciences (these are pretty good; it even has resources for DP), English, and I&S.

  6. IBDOCS: If you are an IB student, I'm pretty sure you would know about this one, but just linking it here for anyone who doesn't. It has past papers, notes, and textbooks. etc (for DP as well).

  7. IITian Academy: Past paper topic-wise questions for Math and Sciences. You do have to pay for complete access, which is why, for up to 2023, I paid and screenshoted the questions so you can find them on a question document in the folder linked above.

Tips for IDU new format: I got a 7 without studying until the day before the exam, and there are 3 simple tricks to follow.

  • I don't know if everyone's school does this, but we have a 1-week camp dedicated to the PRM analysis and IDU, where our teachers predict question types (there are only 3 now, so they predict which PRM is likely to come for which question), and we work on it as a class. I just focused on these classes and listened to what my teachers and peers had to say, but I don't think this is the norm in most schools, so I would recommend forming a group with your friends/classmates and just break down each PRM based on past paper questions (you can find them in my folder or IB docs). This will help you familiarize yourself with the type of analysis you need to do for each PRM.

  • Connect every part of each PRM with the 2 subjects that you have, even if it's the most vague connection, remember it so you can use it as an analysis point in your exam. (We got science and L&L as our subjects, and in our PRMS, the only science that there was was Computer Science, none of the traditional 3, so we had to learn to connect it to Data Science and CS).

  • Know the technical terminology for each subject, and know the PRMS inside out so that you know exactly which PRM to refer to based on the kind of question you get, and you don't waste time on the exam looking for stuff, you don't need to have it memorized but have a general idea of where what is in each of the PRM's and which kind of topic each connects to. (This helps with strengths and weaknesses and the Task 3 reflection, because you know which PRM has more matter on one subject and less on the other).

    • I may do a video rundown for IDU's new format (since there isn't any available, when I do, I'll link it here as well).

Pro tip for I&S and IDU - OVERWRITE! Like the way to score marks in these two subjects is to just yap, so if you have time, go and write more (in IDU, I'm pretty sure I wrote the same point in 3 different ways).

I hope this helps anyone who is panicking about e-assessments, so don't worry about it; they are quite easy, and you'll be fine.
